We all want to have fun when we play DotA and obviously almost all of us has experienced playing in Pinoy Bnet, as much as we would like to have quality games there, it is inevitable that you will experience a game that is just damn frustrating. Why is it like that my dear friends? The answer is simple : players need to learn in-game courtesy/ethics so here's some guidelines that players should follow.
1. RESPECT and APPRECIATE the host
How many times do you see the host been given a thank you remark by the players? None! How about if someone lags or players experience slight lagging? Non-courteous players will say: BOBO ng HOST! <-- Well in fact it isn't even the hosts fault. It's hard being a host, you are responsible for 9 other players happiness for a duration of the game. So be more considerate and give them much credit after the game.
2. Be a human, talk and type like one.
It is a pain in the eye when I see spam messages of players boasting of something like : "Malakas ako! Magaling ako"...what so ever greatness he wants to envision himself. Just prove it in the game. Another thing that irritates me is when players ask the host for tunneling. Messages like: "HOY Pa DR, POT@ pa DR!" are taboo.
3.You are expected to finish the game!
Why did you guys join in the first place? It is common courtesy to go play and finish the game. Lame EXCUSES like going AFK, disconnecting because of PUSTAHAN'S, leaving the game for various reasons (nawalan ng time, bobo ng kakampe, etc) are not excuses.
4.Fight the good fight, Always!
15 minutes and the other team has a Godlike character. What do you do? Common scenario players will:
A.) Tend to go afk
B.) Purposely sell out the game
C.) Go DC (the most pked player)
D.) Blame other teammates for getting in that situation
E.) Say the most frustrating word of all besides from "GG": "Tapusin nyo na po kuya"
If you did have a teammate like this, what would you feel? The games not yet over till its over. So fight and play till the end. I get irritated when players request a rematch...do they say this when they are winning?
5. You have been BANNED for a reason!
Don't just go out there in a new account screaming like hell because you have been banned. You obviously did something wrong and people don't have time to hear your rant. This also follows to kicked players from the room. If you are going into AFK might as well go to other channels. Be mindful that other players out there wants to play and have fun in PinoyBnet.
6. Encourage others do not always blame them.
Seldom do we give credit if a teammate does a great play for a team, we always pinpoint their mistakes and wrongdoings. Maybe you can boost them if you did the other way around.
7. Don't forget to have FUN!
Lastly players who are always dead serious on winning are boring teammates. We should always have a sense of balance in playing, after all you really can't win all the time. So might as well laugh at some IMBA moments/ moves that you or your teammate had.
